Peer Review Process
Peer Review Policy – Current Trends in Medicine and Clinical Research (CTMCR)
Current Trends in Medicine and Clinical Research (CTMCR) maintains high scientific and ethical standards through a rigorous peer review process. Our goal is to ensure the publication of high-quality, original research in medicine, pharmacy, and allied health sciences.
Single-Blind Review
CTMCR follows a single-blind peer review:
-
Reviewers remain anonymous to authors.
-
Authors remain open to reviewers.
Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an editorial screening for compliance with formatting guidelines, publication terms, and copyright regulations. Only manuscripts meeting these criteria advance to peer review.
Editorial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary review. If a conflict of interest exists, another editorial board member handles the assessment. Manuscripts must match the journal’s scope and are assigned a registration code, with all author details anonymized.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts are sent to:
-
An editorial board member with relevant expertise.
-
Two independent external reviewers with no conflicts of interest.
Reviewers evaluate:
-
Relevance of content to the article title.
-
Novelty and significance of the research.
-
Practical applications and implications.
-
Value for a broad scientific audience.
Review Outcomes
Reviewers recommend one of the following:
-
Accept for publication.
-
Accept after minor revisions.
-
Accept after major revisions.
-
Reject.
Detailed feedback is provided for revisions or rejection.
Author Communication and Revisions
Authors receive reviewer comments anonymously. Revised manuscripts may undergo re-review, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewer evaluations, ethical standards, and journal guidelines. Manuscripts involving the Editor-in-Chief or close associates are independently reviewed without their involvement.
